Conduit

I was fascinated by the new Conduit structure introduced in Minecraft’s aquatic update, and decided to recreate it in a more cinematic fashion using post-processing and rendering techniques not found in the game. I managed to recap and expand my knowledge on creating fog using Maya’s volume primitives and ended up with some beautiful underwater scattering. Tack on some film grain, glow and vignetting along with some colour correction, and viola!
